The intelligent puppy on the platform (or whatever you put up there) will know which switch was operated by you and will switch it off, also when it happened behind his back.
The platform can be adjusted in height to make sure only the very top of the switches is hit.
It rotates in the wrong direction? Just switch the motor wires.
