Interference 4 Point

This is an .STL model produced from an image generated by a ripple tank simulator program. Four oscillators emit waves from the four sides of the model, all at the same frequency.

The image was converted using Simplify3Ds picture "Add On" (comes with the program) "Convert Image to 3D."

This routine takes in a .jpg or similar and delivers an .STL based on color threshold values. It comes up with a scheme for a color picture, but if you use B/W you can map dark as higher, or light as higher, and the opposite lower on the surface map. The ripple picture shown was converted to this model.
