Made 11 of these to keep pool cover from blowing in the wind. Seems to work very well.
I threaded string through hole then tied one end to pool cover cable. Loosely attached tie-down, tied other end of string to cover cable. Finally pulled tie-down to snug string - then tighten bolts.

Made part thicker, and hole bigger.
