i hope this fixes somebodys night mares
the hole for the ball insert dosent work that good, the 3 tabs works best if you file them down
i ended up manually pushing the ball and pulling the sleeve on the shaft, works everything....ps those detent balls are regular 7/32" ball bearing is you happend to lose one
i designed this to fit on my 1991 20HP Johnson Outboard engine J20CREIE lower unit
