Keeping my JR radio's that accept a frequency module was the smartest thing I have ever done. I have been able to use my radio's on the Ham bands and many other formats that are available.
I'm building a submarine for my pool and I found that 53 mhz or 6 meters works fairly well but at the very bottom of my pool the signal gets erratic. I added a rf amplifier to my transmitter module and have about 1.25 watts out using the TX battery and I'm good now.
Pictures show my old case the the new one next to it.
Included is a case replacement for the standard module case and an added mount for the amplifier I used. Amp available on ebay.
Probably a few hackers out their that can make use of the case.
Cheers
