The Kukeri gather every year for a 3 day festival (normally between Christmas and Epiphany) that includes parading through towns, villages and into people’s homes to scare off evil and bring good luck to those who encounter them. The looks of a Kuker varies on the region of origin, but one thing that is a constant with all Kukeri, they love to dance, they have leather belts with dozens of large bells attached to them. Subtle the kukeri are not. Please note: Kuker is a singular and Kukeri is plural.
