Saw so many Macbook stands so decided to make one for my HP Spectre X360. I have also tried this with the Dell XPS but for the dell you have to have the hinge up.
December 2024 update, just uploaded a modified stand for a Dell Inspiron, the gap opening is not 21.5mm
