Leaf Earring

Spring is coming, and everyone wants to keep up with the latest fashion, and these leaf earrings are the perfect was to do so! They have a simple design, outlining the shape of a little maple leaf. Their many edges and grooves make them sparkle elegantly, framing the face of the wearer. The thin leaf outline is attached to a little bar, which connects the leaf to the earpiece itself. The earrings are comfortable, as the bar is at the optimal length so that the edges of the leaf are far from the edge of the face. The design was created by first sketching the complete outline of a maple leaf through the use of many small line segments, connecting each of the major veins in the middle of the sketch to the outline of the shape of the leaf. After the loop was closed, the entire sketch was extruded by one thirty second of an inch. A bar was added to add some proportion to the jewelry. It was created by revolving a circle around the end of the stem of the leaf, and then extruding another circle from the revolved ring. The earpiece was created by sweeping a circle on the path of its shape. The design is simple, yet elegant - perfect for keeping up with spring fashion!
