Hold up to 30 spools of thread and all your stitching/sewing tools in a handy lazy Susan-style organizer.  The hub uses a single 608zz wheel bearing from Amazon or your favorite supplier, and a channel is cut into the underside of the spool holder to contain 4.5mm ball bearings (I used 120 of them - that's about $1 USD). You can use stainless steel bearings like I did, or use .177 BBs, which also measure 4.5mm, or even 4.5mm glass beads. Don't want to use bearings? Then don't! It still slides smoothly on its base without any bearings at all (but where's the fun in that?). I designed this to hold leather stitching thread spools, but it can be used with fabric thread as well. The base is a full 320mm in diameter to take advantage of the large bed of the Kobra 2 Plus. The center tool bucket is removable, so you can take your tools with you to a comfortable seat while displaying your thread collection back at your desk! No supports are needed; however, I did use organic supports under the spool holder for some long bridging over the ball bearing channel. When assembling (if you choose to use bearings), I suggest the following steps: Press the 608zz hub bearing into the bottom of the spool holder body Lightly tap your spool pins in with a rawhide or rubber mallet Add about 120 ball bearings to the channel on the underside Place the base onto the spool holder so the bearings stay secure in their channel Carefully turn the assembly right side up, and place the nut onto the center spindle If you decide not to use bearings, just place the spool holder on the base after adding the spool pins.
