This model is based off photos and direct measurement of a store-bought glider commonly known as the 'Lidl glider'. It is popular for RC enthusiast to modify and convert these toys into fully functional gliders and powered models alike. This model is taken to be the 'V2' version of the foam moulded production, with the thinner (3mm) trailing edge.
The model depicted here is a version where the outboard dihedral (upward bend) of the wings has been removed to create a flat wing. This removes some stability and produces a better visual representation of a slope soaring style glider. The process to remove this bend is fairly simple, involving a dish cloth and some boiling water. Various YouTube videos will give clarity on this.
Some dimensions may not exactly match the model, wing tips and top of the tail, for ease of drawing. If you are designing and printing part to convert, it is advised to do a test print of a section which may be critical and then adjust accordingly.
