Lionel 97C Controller

I made this as a controller for my vintage 97 coaling elevator. I used a plastic rotary switch from Ace hardware(most hardware stores have it) and a momentary push button switch from advance auto parts. Both switch holes are 1/2", so many other switches can be used. I painted the button red to match the original. The back-plate either screws to the case or glues, and a slit is in the back for the wires. The schematic is above, and it is very simple. If the accessory doesn’t work on the first try, simply reverse the wires connecting to terminals 1 and 3.
