Little Joe Model Rocket – Launchable 3D PrintThis is a fully 3D-printable, launch-capable model rocket based on Little Joe, the NASA test vehicle used in the early 1960s to evaluate the Mercury spacecraft launch escape system. The real Little Joe was a small, solid-fueled booster designed to simulate the intense conditions of a crewed launch, ensuring astronaut safety before manned Mercury missions began.Features of this model:Scale-inspired design – captures the look of Little Joe with tower and capsule detail.Two capsule/tower options – one reinforced version for flight, and one detailed version for display.Launch-ready build – designed for standard rocket motors. Fit is intentionally snug; a quick whirl with sandpaper around the engine casing ensures a perfect fit.Recovery system – model is designed to use a parachute and shock cord.Notes & Disclaimer:This rocket has not yet been flight tested.
