# Mac Studio Dust Prevention
As the Mac Studio air intake is at the bottom of the device it is inevitable that dust from the desk is sucked into the computer. I experienced this before with several Mac mini machines.
The stand I designed is composed of two parts:
- Top: Made out of PLA, fits ring structure at the bottom of Mac Studio
- Bottom: Made out of TPU
A strip of filter fleece (G4) is wrapped around the stand and fixed with masking tape. The open cross section of the stand is greater than the cross section of the holes in the bottom of the Mac Studio, so that the additional pressure drop caused by the stand and the filter fleece shouldn't be relevant.
