There are two versions available.
- Angled
- Flat

So what does the logo say (in case you cannot read Japanese). Depending where you put the spaces you will get (Source Goolge translate)
- 超時空要塞 translate "Macross"
- 超時 空 要塞 translates "Hyperspace fortress"
- 超 時 空 要 塞 translate "Super time fortress"
So Macross means “Super Dimensional Fortress”, or SDF-1,
The for large letters are the pronunciation of Macros
