Math Tower is a simple game for students in preschool, Kindergarten and 1st Grade to practice addition through kinesthetic hands-on learning.
Educator or student picks a value to work with and inserts the slider ends to mark the width of the tower being built. This the value they will decompose to find partners of.
Students then use standard place value sticks and cubes to insert them into the tower and build up vertically. When the width is filled they have found partners of the value chosen.
Example picture is the value of 9. The child found that:
5 + 4 = 9
6 + 3 = 9
4 + 3 + 2 = 9
7 + 2 = 9
8 + 1 = 9
(Update 9/2/16, uploaded the slider.stl file. These are the walls you slide down on the sides to determine the width of the building the student constructs.)
