I was trying to find a simple solution for cooling my servers external drives, however i couldn't find one on makerworld that met my needs. So I designed a simple multi-layer cage with a section for inserting a 120mm x 120mm x 25mm standard computer fan. This cage is also designed to cool performance drives attached to a gaming computer.SpecificationsThe cage is designed on each layer to hold a drive of maximum dimensions, approximately 22.5mm high, 120mm long, and 121mm wide.A 120mm x 120mm x 25mm standard computer fan can be inserted into the back of the cage.I would recommend using PETG for the trays, as the drives could melt PLA; however, PLA can be used for the tray and fan housing.Approximately 4 trays can be printed and inserted into the cage. You could opt to cut and use a sheet of aluminium instead for better heat dissipation. The slits can accomodate up to 2.5mm by design.
