This miniature lighthouse is powered by two LR44 coin cells and a yellow blinking LED (the blinking effect comes from the LED itself). The LED is inserted from the bottom, and its legs are bent in the specific shape shown in image three to ensure reliable contact with the coin cells inside the battery compartment. The cabin needs to be super glued to the main structure. I've only used a small drop of super glue and it holds up fine. The two LR44 batteries are held into the battery compartment with a press-fit. The battery compartment doubles as the power switch. Removing or inserting it turns the lighthouse off or on.The compartment mounts to the base plate using a single M3 screw (8–16 mm length).
