MKS does not make the super high-quality boarda so this "smoothieboard clone" is the same, it is not horrible but far from the original. Since I'm running the motors at max 2A and since the thermal properties of the board are not spectacular, I'm using this "coolbox" to keep the board cool.
I'm attm mounting both fan's to blow to the board both top and bottm, so the air exits on the sides of the box. I'll test also if push-pull works better (pushing air from the top, pulling from the bottom) but everyone should test themselves in coord with the type of fans they use. If you are not pushing the limits with 2A but run smaller motors one fan will be enough, but then you might look for a smaller box :)
Top of the box features RepRapDiscound Smart Graphics Controller.
Print bottom, middle and top parts.
1. put a bottom 120mm fan in the bottom case part, screw from the outside
2. put a SKR SBASE 1.3 board in the bottom case part. Slide the cables from slide holes and attach to PCB
