MMU Buffer Cage

This is a 2 part cage for the buffer. I really love the buffer but the filament wrapping around other stuff was an issue.



I came up with this. I put a lot of holes in it to reduce material needed to print but still be strong and not break when handled.



I printed in 2 colors so it can be seen in the pictures the 2 pieces. The bottom piece goes over the buffer. Then screw it down. 2 Screws on opposite sides is enough. Feel free to put screws in all 4 holes. The top pieces just sits on top.



Why 2 pieces? One reason was to allow for printing in the bed space. The other will allow you access to the buffer for easy changes when you need to swap the filament out or put a new roll in. I designed it to purely push together and not need glue, fasteners or anything else to hold the pieces together.
