Mobile Device Stand

The stand was inspired by my need for an iPad stand and several designs on Thingiverse. None of the designs had the strength or simplicity that I needed, so I built my own, taking the best bits of all and improving on the structure and aesthic, I hope.

The base structure was based on a design by Mike-vom-Mars (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2785088), but his design has narrow teeth, which span the width of the stand. They looked fragile and I doubt that they'd survie long. The basic concept was good. Reworking the idea for strength, reducing material, adding thickness in places where things were too fragile, and recreating the parts with a thinner profile and sleak aesthetic, the concept came together. I also tapered the pivot so that it helps to secure the leaning arm of the stand.

I made a little update so that the stand can be adjusted in 3 different positions, averaging around 25, 45, and 65 degree angles. This is ia a visual guess-stimate, but you get the idea.
