Model Rocket Igniter Control

Wow, I finished this thing a while ago and forgot to upload it. It works great.

This is a rocket igniter control box I made for model rocketry for my kids.

I want to get my kids into model rockets. I had a lot of fun when I was younger. I used to have everything. Its long gone. So I'm starting from scratch. You can spend a lot of money getting started, but I have a 3D printer.....

So I designed this to look really cool and work well. I intend it to give it a realistic feeling by having a igniter box that looks like something that could have been from the space program.

It uses a key that you must turn. Real functioning key. To launch you push the leaver forward and ZOOOM.

It will run on 2 18650 lithium batteries. I found as a kid that if you used a lot of power the igniters worked better, launched faster and in a pinch you can take the spent leg of an igniter and fold it in half, and insert into a rocket engine. When igniting the wire glows red h
