I wanted to get a variable voltage PSU for my mini instead of the underpowered 5a stock brick, and have a proper power switch. This allows the addition of a 12v 10a LED driver style PSU. My model is a JC Power JC-120-12, but anything with a cross section of about 46x37mm will fit

The bottom bracket screws into the stock screw locations under the back tower and one new hole you need to drill into the frame, and accepts a standard IEC320 C14 power socket and switch. There are recesses on the inside to catch a M3 square nut. The top bracket screws into another hole you need to drill. With the two piece nature it can accommodate supplies of varying lengths and there is a slot left open so you can access the voltage adjustment potentiometer. You can cut a length of the stock power cord to wire up the PSU so you don't have to solder and wires onto the control board.

Note that you cannot access the stock spool holder slots with this mod, though if you want you could install it on one of
