This is not a remix, but an add on. I love the spacer idea to update the old Maglite with 18650 batteries. One of the steps is that you need to clean up the end cap, so it is conductive and then bend the spring. To do the least amount of work, I just used a different straight 7mm spring I had in my spring box and made this spacer. For reference, the spring needs to be at least 23mm long. You still have to remove some anodizing in the end cap, but only about 8mm worth in the center of the cap. Obviously you can change the center hole size for different size springs if you don't have a 7mm on hand.

Thanks for the great upgrade idea. You saved my wife's beloved purple Maglight. :-)
