Nesting Branches

A sculptural project that combines 3D sculptures with nature. These pieces are inspired by native birds around Governor's Island.They are meant to be installed in trees to provide nesting places for birds as well as sculptures .

The piece must be split using mesh tools to ensure separate printing. it has inside compartments to introduce objects inside of the pice (originally design for a micro controller).

The hole in the middle is where the branch passes through and holes are designed to allow for small white or string to be used in order fasten the piece.

Note that the diameter of the branch are set to be larger for birdnest.stl and smaller for birdnest2.stl
