this is an experimental coupling for nem-fitted railway models. the idea was inspired by the sprat and winkle system. using small weights to hold a hook up and pulled down with magnets under the track.
this is meant to be hands-free. it won't work on all models but should work on most rolling stock and some locos when fully assembled. however, they aren't as minimalist or hidden as the sprat and winkle couplings which can blend into the model more easily than others.
if you haven't heard of sprat and winkle couplings, I recommend looking them up on Youtube or online. their quite interesting and were used on the Rev W. Awdrys Oo layout with his models of the NWR fleet.
