I recently found out about the OpenDTU project (link: https://www.opendtu.solar/ ) and made my own working prototype with an ESP32, a CMT2300A module and some other parts.
I've measured my project and started drawing an enclosure for it. This will probably only fit my project, but I decided to upload it anyway. Maby someone can find some inspiration in my little project.
I have enjoyed every bit of this build and the end result is very impressive. I get an update every 10 seconds in Home Assistant about every value my Hoymiles solar-inverters communicate via 868MHz. This way, live adjusting the output of the panels is also possible.
All the parts came from China.
I designed the enclosure myself. To bring hommage to the OpenDTU project, I downloaded their logo and used it for the front of the enclosure.
The pillars in the case keep the prototype PCB in place. There are holes for the antenna, a USB-C charge port, a screwhole and holes for the LED's.
