Pegasus

Pegasus is the most famous winged horse in Ancient Greek mythology. His story is told as follows: BirthHe is the child of Poseidon, god of the seas, and the snake-haired Medusa.When the hero Perseus cut off Medusa’s head, two beings emerged from her blood:The winged horse PegasusThe warrior giant ChrysaorBellerophon and PegasusPegasus was captured by the hero Bellerophon. This was not easy, since Pegasus freely flew across the sky.The goddess Athena gave Bellerophon a golden bridle, allowing him to tame Pegasus.Together they embarked on many adventures. The most famous was defeating the fire-breathing monster Chimera (Khimaera)Hubris and the FallOver time, Bellerophon grew arrogant and tried to fly with Pegasus to Mount Olympus, the home of the gods.Zeus became angry and sent a gadfly to sting Pegasus.
