Perrier Bottle Bird Feeder

This bird feeder is made using a 75cl Perrier bottle and 80cm (31.5") of 550 paracord (or similar, the holes are 5mm diameter). Both 3D printed parts are tapered to provide a good fit to the bottle. Simply thread the cord through the parts and then tie a knot in each end of the cord. 80cm allows easy removal of the bottle by sliding the middle ring over the bottom of the bottle.


I've had it in my garden for a while now and the birds love it! It's very sturdy- it can handle a squirrel attack without issue!


I printed this in PLA and it's held up fine so far, but I'm not sure how it will hold up long-term because it's in the sun for a few hours everyday. A filament with high UV-resistance such as ASA might be a better choice.
