I'm a microbiological analyst and perform a lot of tests using petri dishes.
When there are a lot of colonies on the petridish we devide it so we dont have to count all the colonies on the dish but count the section and multiply the count.
We used to devide the dish using a regular ruler. This method is not all that accurate. This is why I designed this tool!
With this tool it is easy to devide a standard 9cm petridish in halfs, quarts, eights and even 16ths.
