Plantbug - IoT humidity, temperature, soil moisture sensor for Lolin (Wemos) D1 Mini.
Content:
PCB: SVG, PNG. Note: Case designed for 0,8 mm PCB!!! Thicker will require redesign!
CAD: FreeCad + stl/amf exports.
Partslist
This file
----------------------------------------------------------------
Info:
Uses D2 for DHT22-sensor.
Uses analog input for soil moisture; A sensor available from different sources named "Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor 1.2" - Edit: Put epoxi on the edges, otherwise water will seep in!
Calibration:
Soil moisture will show ~850 in air and ~420 in water.
Individual sensors differs somewhat.
I use this formula:
Moisture = 100 * (AIRval-value) / (AIRval - WATERval)
to get moisture level from 0 to 100.
Example for EspEasy:
100*(816-%value%)/(816-422)
I used toner-transfer method for PCB.
Refer to datasheets and PCB layout image for sensor connections and component placements.
Solder male headers on Wemos, female on PCB. Vice verse
