Printer Filament Guide

A simple 3D printer filament guide that keeps the filament 40mm from the back wall of a Monoprice Maker Select Ultimate or Wanhao Duplicator 6 style printer.

Double sided sticky tape is used to fix the guide to the back of the printer near the top.

VERSION 2: Version 2 now posted (and preferred) has a stronger base so it does not crack off easily. It also has a slot because I often found I wanted to take the filament out of the loop if I decided I needed to feed the reel from higher than the printer (like for really flexible materials you cannot just put the reel in the back with good results).

This guide has solved a problem where some filaments like very full 1.1lb reals of ABS could have the filament last few loops around a very full spool come between the spool and the back wall of the printer leading to filament being too hard too pull to the head and a failed print.

The filament is routed through the hole on it's way to the print head for a cleaner feed.
