A simple model rocket using a 3D printed fin can and cone. There are files for creating a coupler to double the length of the rocket. The main body is from paper rolls left over from a plotter (2.175" OD x 2.02" ID). The fin can requires a 29mm motor mount tube, threaded rods and two retention plates. This is a work in progress....

This is how I am hoping to build it: Take the top half of the motor mount and epoxy the retention plate, threaded rods and nuts in place. Epoxy the top half the motor mount into the tube so that it is flush with the bottom of the tube. Slide the fins into the lower motor mount then slide the fin/motor mount assembly onto the threaded rods and push together. Cut a 9-3/16" long 29mm motor mount tube and slide it in from the end. It should press against the retention plate at the top of the upper motor mount. Use the last retention plate to hold a motor tight to the 29mm tube.

I would suggest epoxying the 29mm tube to the fin/motor mount assembly
