PrintoScope: A Tool for Precise Tuning and Analysis of 3D Printing   PrintoScope is designed not only to monitor the first layer but also to observe subsequent layers from above or through the printer's door. This device was created for profile tuning and print analysis, which is especially important when working with new materials from different manufacturers. The tuning process requires testing, and automation is often not enough—high-quality visual inspection is essential. For example, automation may not detect insufficient filament flow or adhesion issues in the first layer, which are easily noticeable during visual analysis. PrintoScope provides this functionality, offering magnification comparable to an electronic loupe.   The device is particularly convenient for printers with a glass top panel, such as the Bambu Lab X1C. For example, in my setup, the AMS is placed on a shelf above the printer, leaving the glass fully accessible for monitoring and working with the printer. This setup makes it easier to achieve optimal settings and high-quality prints. Despite the advanced automation systems in modern printers like the Bambu Lab X1C, the success of a print often depends on precise profile adjustments. PrintoScope helps identify even the smallest issues in the first layer and fine-tune parameters, ensuring a reliable start for every project. Technical Features The device's body was printed using matte ABS plastic from eSUN with a layer thickness of 0.12 mm. The design includes: Ventilation holes implemented through slicer settings. These are created by setting zero top and bottom layers and using 35% infill with a honeycomb pattern. This approach speeds up printing and makes the structure lighter. A focus adjustment ring designed as a thrust ball-bearing mechanism, 3D-printed. Between the ring and the body are calibrated plastic balls lubricated with white grease, ensuring smooth movement. This is not a standard bearing but a printed imitation used to test tech
