The geodesic domes designed by Bukminster Fuller in 1930 employ a triangular module of almost constant size , are very light because primarily sized to support its own weight. Investigating geometric shapes I sprang this structure that uses a progressive module. The triangles of larger size are placed at the base and gradually reduce their size by reason of a helically spiral that goes up to the top vertex . It can therefore be dimensioned sides of the triangles by reason of the greater load to which they are subjected using large diameter pipes for base triangles and gradually reducing along the salient spiral. This model has a base diameter of about 20 meters , without doing any calculations, to emphasize the scaling we have starting tubes from 6 " up to small 1/2" for the upper circles . The graphic effect is pleasant, remains to be demonstrated by appropriate sizing calculations the convenience of this type of construction .
