I got to refresh my software skill diversity so I did a simple model of a Brauner type pulsejet. The used drawings are early eighties reprints from apparently a 1955 Czechoslovakian design. Dimensions are accurate. As the simplest form of a jet engine after ramjet and the earliest jet engine concept, pulsejets are very cheap and quite powerful, but very fuel-inefficient and extremely loud. Their specific fuel consumption is about 2 (units of fuel per one unit of thrust in an hour), which is twice of a pure turbojet. They also vibrate heavily which makes crewed applications unfeasible. Their most widespread use is in model aircraft. I included the plans I used to model the pulsejet. They don't describe how the starter air nozzle is fixed in place (I think it's brazed) nor clearly explain how the valve assembly is fixed to the venturi. The only change I made was the bolt which I chanced to a countersunk type.
