There is a patent that claims that razors can be kept sharp at a certain height for a long time.

The patent claims, "We will consider 50 shaves on average when placed in the pyramid against 5 shaves when it is not."
The pyramid was made as a test, the stand is at the height specified in the patent and is adjusted for the gillette mach 3 razor.
The blade must be placed in a north-south direction.
