The Raspberry Pi 5 has numerous minuscule SMD components soldered to the rear of its PCB. This baseplate will protect them while you are driving your Pi 5 as a cabriolet. The baseplate fits the older Pi "B" models as well.

The four screws have the dimensions M2.5 x 8 mm. The (nominal) 2.4 mm holes in the baseplate should be just right for the screws to cut their threads themselves. Do not slip off with the screwdriver as there are delicate components nearby. Do not overtighten.

- Added rounding of the lower edges to prevent elephant foot
- Added optional screw cups to prevent screwdriver slip, therfore protecting nearby components: First insert the screws fully into the cups (the screws will cut a short thread into the cups' bottom hole), then screw the screw+cup combo through the PCB holes into the baseplate holes.
