There were limited stocks of RC boats during the pandemic so I decide to build one for my son using the Dremel 3D45 printer. I suggested a speedboat but he wanted to go for a ferry so basically this looks like a ferry but I put a huge motor in it to go as fast as a speedboat.

A video of the build and the boat in action can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXWCXHPcM2U

Steps in the build:

Printing Parts:

All parts were printed on medium setting using white EcoABS standard material. Supports are required to print most of the parts and the average printing time for the larger parts was about 26 hours. It's not the most efficient design for material use so I think I used about 2 spools.

3D Printed Parts Assembly and Painting:

Parts were glued together using SCIGRIP 16 Acrylic Cement. Apply cement to both sides then press together for 20 seconds, just used feel to line up parts.

Parts were then painted with 3 coats of Rust-Oleum 260510 Automotive 2-in-1
