This is a rectifier mount for industrial battery chargers. For anyone trying to rebuild an old battery charger or otherwise replace a damaged rectifier diode there is a problem. The original diode is no longer available for most models, therefore an aftermarket rectifier needs to be installed. These rectifiers are built so that they can be attached to the sheet steel of a battery charger with plastic clips, the problem is the plastic clips are designed to insert into a square hole, and cutting these holes is near impossible.
This is where this mounting plate comes in real handy. This plate attaches to the back of the charger with four .25x1 screws and the rectifier then clips to the plastic plate with the clips that are included with the replacement rectifier. Drilling the holes is easy, just hold the template up to the back of the charger and drill four 1/4 inch holes.
