This adapter puts a 14mm CCW thread on the end of your Red Ryder BB rifle. It has cutouts to accommodate the front sight and bottom tube. The 14mm thread makes your rifle compatible with standard airsoft barrel attachments, such as functional suppressors and breacher muzzle brakes. However, this thing does not have super tight tolerances, so I would recommend against using small bore suppressors.
