Rigol DC Electronic Load button protector

Anti-explosion technology!
A simple model to protect the SHORT button of the Rigol DL3021A and similar DC electronic loads against accidental activation.

This part also fits the ON/OFF button too, if you want to use it there as well.

Shorting the output of a power supply can damage the power supply or possibly even the DC load instrument itself, so this helps you avoid doing this accidentally.

This design is scaled to make accidental activation less likely, but not make it too difficult to operate the button deliberately. If you want extra security to make it really difficult to reach the button, you can easily scale the depth of the part in your slicer.

Once you have printed your shroud, just apply some thin double sided tape to the back, trim out the centre with a craft knife, and stick on.

I printed it in PLA, but pretty much anything should work.
