You and your companions decide to make camp for the night and gave the shifty rogue the first watch. As the caltrops are laid out as an early warning, a rustling can be heard from down the tunnel. The rogue thinks nothing of it and starts sifting through his companions belingings. Another rustle comes from the dimly lit cave. The rogue decides to check it out, only to find that the caltrops are gone. More rustling can be heard, but its in the camp this time. There is a yell of fear and anger, as the warrior fumbles to escape his bedding as a large creature contently eats at his sword. Bits of rusted armor span the tent as the other companions charge in.

Roll for initiative.

Rust monsters are a staple in DnD. This is my version of the time tested creature. I do not own the rights to the Rust monster or other creatures found in the Dungeons and Dragons various Monster Manuals. This is fanart..
