SCROLLING MEMORIES

Description Scrolling Memories for A1, X1 and P1   Finding the ideal Mother’s Day gift is often a challenge. The best gifts are usually the ones that money cannot buy. Memories and souvenirs fall into this category. This is the inspiration for this model.   The model is for a scrolling picture show with personal messages that is modelled in a book / Mother’s Day card format that you personalize with your own memories, souvenirs and messages.   Any Mother will appreciate the thoughts and personal touches that go into creating this.   Gathering pictures to creating the scrolling picture slide will be a fun family activity where you can relive fond memories. As a bonus, it will be further proof that buying a 3d printer was a brilliant idea. The Model   The model also has front and back panels that you can paint and personalize with Bambu studios. I also included optional blank panels as well as panels with special words.   A few notes about the pictures and scrolling.   The model can hold and scroll around 15 pictures and possibly more depending on materials used to print and hold the pictures.   I have experimented with printed pictures and self-adhesive laminating film as well as regular paper that is scotch taped together. I used pictures printed on special picture paper and 3 mil laminating film but this ended up being somewhat thick and caused some spring back due to thickness. I solved this issue by designing the shafts to close tolerances to prevent a spring back issue.   Printed pictures on plain paper that are taped together works best. I have not tried pictures printed on regular paper with 1.5 mil film but that should also work fine.   The height of the pictures should not exceed 4 ½ inches or about 110 mm.   3D Printing   The model is easy to assemble and there is an instruction gif.   I have included print profiles for the A1, X1 and P1.   I welcome any comments and suggestions about improving Scrolling Memories.
