This "socket" uses a hexagon helically rotated 1/12 of a turn (in both directions) to nudge nuts into the correct alignment before entering a hex-shaped hole.

This idea is useless given the existence of 12-point sockets and the Gator Grip, but the geometry is fun to look at. I also stretched it into a model for spiral vase mode.
