Self watering Modification

This is designed to be used in conjuction with the mid century modern planter. This converts the planter into a self watering planter by creating a sealed reservoir inside the planter and adding a platform for the plants to sit in with drain holes to allow the soil to drain. This design takes advantage of the wicking cababilites of cotton rope to draw water from the reservwoir in the bottom to the soil above. this makes the soil moist, but does not mushy so herbs an other plants that like moist soil will thrive. The insert can be removed for easy cleaning as well as the riser section. I would reccomend a good squeeze bottle to fill the plants. this way you can also measure the water usage of each plant if thats something you are curious about like I am. There are 4 sizes available to work with each of the 4 planters.
