Sideways mounting bracket

I wanted to mount a big plate to the wall without making holes through the plate, and as I couldn't find proper brackets that would allow me to exert enough force in the mounting direction, I created this bracket. I do have the feeling that this kind of bracket has a specific name, but I don't know it. If you do, I would love to know :)

It has 4 mm holes for screws and an 8 mm hole perpendicular to the direction of the screws. This allowed me to have threaded pins in the walls, then hang the plate in place, and then press the plate in place by twisting on some nuts.
