Whilst using some of the earlier vices I have designed and 3D Printed I noticed that there was a design flaw, when applying pressure the jaw attached to the screw can jump up, I was trying to push 2 components together at the time and probably applying too much force, these vices are 3D printed in PLA so I was probably expecting too much.Anyways I thought I would have a go at designing and printing a rail type vice, where the jaw attached to the screw drive slides on rails, this would eliminate that problem, for this particular vice some hardware is needed, I already had some 5mm solid bar which I cut down to 100mm I also had some 5mm Linear bearings these are 15mm long, the components are not expensive and it does make for a far better vice, the components were purchased on Amazon UK when I bought them.I did cut the bar on a the model engineers vice I made earlier which made things so much easier, but try not to get too close when cutting or it could get hot and melt the pla.You could
