Small Reef Block

This is a four piece mold which can be used to create a concrete "Reef Block." It is our take on the "Reef Ball" used to help rebuild oyster habitat. This particular mold was used to in the Billion Oyster Pavilion - a temporary art space installed on Governor's Island in Summer of 2015. At the end of the season, the pavilion will be disassembled, and the blocks will be covered in oyster spat and placed into New York Harbor to create new oyster habitat.
