Small Tansu

This small scale tansu was inspired by a mizuya-style kitchen tansu. Fusion 360 was used to design the model at 1/5th scale. The tansu model was designed for construction using laser cutting techniques with 5 mm plywood and glue. Eight brass screws are used to hold the door hinge brackets in place and facilitate their removal. All other hinges and joints were designed in Fusion 360 and made from plywood. There are 187 parts in the assembly - 22 independently moving parts including 12 drawers, 4 doors and one pull out chest with its own articulated, bifold hinged lid.

This small tansu was intended to be a desktop secretary, but it could be use to store other things.
