Speaker box

This is a speaker box designed to hold a pair of 2 and a 1/2 inch or 66mm full range loud speakers. Or a single speaker of the same size. It was designed to fit under the cab, behind the grill of Redcat Racing's 53 Chevy COE hauler.

Visaton FR 7 4ohm full range loud speakers are the speakers shown in the photo and are what were used to design the speaker boxes.

The larger box is two piece to make installing the speakers easier. Can be glue together or bolted together as there are 3mm holes in the prints for hardware.

The twin speaker box is:
5 an 6/16s long x 2 an 12/16s wide x 1 an 9/16s tall
135mm long x 69mm wide x 38mm tall

Single speaker box is same width and height but half as long.

I printed both at 70% infill though they might produce better sound with 100% infill just to reduce flexing of the walls. They are not sturdy enough for bashers or crawlers that see a lot of abuse, I designed them for the 53 hauler which is just for cruising around.
